ELLIPSIS PRINTS COMMISSION 2021

Ellipsis Prints commissions, exhibits and sells limited edition prints from the most talented early-career womxn and non-binary artists. The project works towards redressing the gender balance as galleries, exhibitions and art collections continue to be dominated by male voices.

Olivia Strange’s prints surface the queer experience and offer an alternative empowering image of female subjectivity in an eroticised state. The text, which is overlaid onto an abstract figurative painting, speaks to the language of desire and the tension which exists between pleasure and pain.
